Christmas Gift Boxes

Christmas is the most loved holiday by children in general, but for those parents who live from day to day, buying gifts for their children is a cause of sadness, because they cannot afford them.

Every child has the right to experience the joy of receiving at least one gift, no matter how small.

I've often wondered why people give presents, especially at Christmas, and don't offer them as eagerly the rest of the year.

Maybe they feel the need to offset the cold and dark of winter with a little kindness to warm their hearts and those on the receiving end?

Or maybe they want to give because they too received the Savior Jesus as a gift from the heavenly Father?

Or maybe they know what it's like to receive nothing and know all too well the feeling of rejection, indifference, and neglect?

From a natural point of view, we are grown-up people, but in the drawers of our hearts are hidden the memories of childhood, of what Christmas meant to us: the smell of oranges, cinnamon, cookies, carols, snow, innocence... Of course, some moments overshadowed the joy, but when the streets were filled with our voices and those of our friends, everything was left behind...

Many of these children, whom we helped over time, did not have even a fraction of the small joys that we experienced...

Those who have been with us in the "Christmas Gift Boxes" project in recent years, know that we were preparing boxes full of sweets, school supplies, and toys, which were then sent to families in extremely difficult financial situations.

This year, because transportation has become very expensive, we decided to raise money and have the boxes made in Romania. The estimated price of a box full of the necessary products is around ten euros.

No matter what your motivation for giving this Christmas is, I hope with all my heart that you will offer this year too!

We all have problems, but there are others less privileged and with greater needs.
